Ginger Sauce- Dis
One I like is sesmie ginger soy.
Take a small pinch bowl, fill 1/3 with soy (yes I use light soy)
squeeze in a small glob of ginger (yes you can buy ginger - no frozen - processed into tubes - usually in the veg isle at grocerie store)
a few dashs of sesmie oil (very strong I really mean just a few)
some chilly flakes.
Stir and dip what ever you like in it
Or Honey Ginger
Same small pinch bowl
1/3 full rice wine viniger
1 large table spoon honey
1 - 2 small globs ginger (from same tube described earlier)
1 small splash of soy
really it is easy to add flavour without adding anything bad. Discover herbs, fresh ones. See what you like Celentrao is personally one of my favourites. And discover dryed herbs, I hate to say this but "Club House" has some really good mixes that take the thinking out of dry herbs.
Vinigers are good for you. Red wine, rice wine, apple cider, get a few different types, use them as bases for dipping and grilling sauces and all kinds of flavours open up without "eating american"
