Ok, I know we've heard about it here and there over the past few years. Well it seems that it's finally coming out. In fact the official European release date (they get it first since the company making it is in Greece) is set for 22 Jan 09. They invite the North American players to join in the European release so it would mean meeting up with Rylde and Shadow again.

Is the game getting good reviews? Do we know if Ryld and Shadow are going to play it?

What is it's premis? I find it's web page not as informative as I would like. "Intense combate system" is that a seven point? They get awful annoying...

I will see what I can find but if anyone has info, put it up, I am curious.

To get the info you want you need to go to the forums. From what I can tell of the battle system it's more like a fps in style where you have to aim, and block, and move around and such. There is not auto-attack, no levels, classes, virtually no restrictions.

As for reviews, most are from shows and gaming mags that have seen only bits and pieces of the game. You'll have to look for beta tester reviews. But so far I've not found anything negative other then the fact that it's been in development with very little news for about 6yrs now.

I say we at least give it a shot and see if the game delivers, cause if all that stuff truly is possible then it'll be one hell of a game that's about as close to 100% player controlled as you're gonna get in a game.

I gotta admit I have never heard of this game, and I dont think Ryld has either. ME being ignorant isn't so unusual but he usually knows everything about new coming games so I'm surprised he hasnt been raving about it.

But imagine the joy of a game where we can all play together again, woohoo!!

We havent been playing at all since Xmas. Our WoW guild broke up cos the leader quit the game and handed over leadership to an asshole so the fun went there and Warhammer kind of doesnt really do it for me, although I've been thinking of giving it another chance.

We've been watching aion and thinking that looks like it could be fun for ages, the graphics look stunning if its the game I'm thinking of (we have had many discussions over correct pronounciation of the name....).

I'll have to check with my more manly half but I reckon we'd totally be up for giving Darkfall a try, long as it doesnt cost extortionately much to get in... And I gotta say, if it really delivers all the stuff it says it will it looks like being an amazing game!!
