Hey I got a good mac n cheese with no easy mac or crap but what can I use for cheese? so far I'm stuck with velveeta but I'm now adding sharp cheddar. what would go well with this? and I also heard a rumor that adding sugar to the boiling pasta adds a nice twist to it. Is that actually a viable idea?

You guys are soooo adorable! This is the best idea ever!

Anyway, I thought I would just share with you one of my favourite recipes. Its stupidly easy to cook, feeds as much as you want, tastes great, and is brilliant for things like having people over cos you do all the preparation well in advance so by the time people are arriving you’ve had time to make yourself look pretty and can sit and talk to them without spending all your time in the kitchen!

Mojo -- a versatile, garlicky marinade and sauce -- is a staple of Cuban and Puertorican cuisine. When cooking the garlic, keep the heat very low so that the garlic doesn't burn. The garlic takes a bit of time to cook, but slow cooking makes the garlic sweeter.

Mojo Sauce

Yield: About 1-1/2 cups

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 15 minutes, plus cooling time

1/2 cup virgin or extra virgin olive oil

8 to 10 plump cloves garlic, minced

Nim's homemade sweet n' sour chicken:

8 chicken breasts (yes, 8 )

8-oz bottle of Catalina flavor salad dressing

10-oz jar of apricot jam/jelly

1 envelope of dry onion soup mix

Dump everything in just before bed - or morning classes - and you're set. Get a long spoon to stir and serve it with. 4 hours on medium, 8 on low.

Since I don't really trust my crock to kill everything inside on low, I usually set it to high for 2 hours after a day on low. It's a crock pot - over-cooking ...

From Dis:

Shadow, this is one pot cooking at it's finest and is really easy, not the best curry recepie I have but simple and no spice, so you will enjoy it (I think).

Note: 2nd pot needed it you want rice with it (basmaiti is best), I personally like pita or that crispy indian bread and kinda scoop/eat method.

Between 1 - 2 pounds of lean beef. I like rump roast but steaks work well. Really any beef you can cut into 2 - 3 cm cubes (depending on preference one bit or two)
